Black Label Trading Company

Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) was founded in Nicaragua in 2013 by James and Angela Brown, with its headquarters and factory located in Estelí, the mecca of cigars. In 2015, the couple officially opened their own factory, Fábrica Oveja Negra (Black Sheep Factory), which is known as an art studio rather than a traditional production line. James' original dark paintings are directly transformed into cigar band designs. All cigars are 100% handmade in Nicaragua, with the main tobacco leaves sourced from Nicaragua, Honduras, San Andrés in Mexico, and Ecuador. Strict small-batch production is implemented, and each blend is personally controlled by James Brown, ensuring full traceability from seed to finished product.

BLTC currently has two core brand lines:

1. Black Label Trading Company's main lines include classic collections such as Last Rites, Bishop's Blend, Benediction, Santa Muerte, Salvation, Deliverance, and Royale Corona.
2. Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) sub-brand focuses on more experimental and extreme-strength cigars, with representative products including Killer Bee, SINDUSTRY, NBK, Green Hornet, Rorschach, and Serpent & The Angel. Each cigar is typically offered in only 3-4 sizes to ensure a high degree of consistency in flavor.

BLTC positions itself in the mid-to-high strength range of premium cigars, renowned for its intense, complex, and layered flavor profile. Common notes include black pepper, dark chocolate, coffee, leather, earth, dark cherry, and sweet spices, often accompanied by the powerful burst and lingering finish of a strong Nicaraguan Ligero.
