CLE (Christian Luis Eiroa) was founded in Miami, USA in 2012 by Christian Luis Eiroa, the third generation of a Honduran cigar family. All cigars are 100% handmade at their own factory, Fabrica de Puros Aladino, in El Paraíso, Honduras. Christian, who created the legendary Camacho brand, returned to his family roots after selling the brand, using the Aladino farm established by his grandfather in 1961 to fully revive the "Authentic Corojo" pure Corojo seed (unhybridized and unmodified). CLE strictly controls the entire chain "from seed to cigar," with all tobacco leaves coming from the family's exclusive farm in the Jamastran Valley and aged for at least 3-5 years, rejecting any quick fermentation techniques. The wrappers are mainly Honduran native Corojo, Cameroon, Ecuador Habano, and Mexican San Andrés, and it is hailed as the purest "Honduras Corojo revival movement" today.
CLE's main product lines have distinct styles and can be divided into the following three major categories:
- The core classic line (CLE Signature series): systematically presents the four major Honduran wrapper styles, including CLE Corojo (authentic Corojo wrapper), CLE Habano, CLE Connecticut, and CLE Maduro;
- The flagship Aladino series uses 100% Jamastran Valley Authentic Corojo tobacco leaves, including Aladino Corojo, Aladino Cameroon, Aladino Candela, Aladino Sumatra, Aladino Classic, Aladino Vintage Selection (selected aged tobacco leaves), and the elegant slim Aladino Finesse;
- Limited and special editions: CLE 25th Anniversary (the pinnacle of 25-year aged tobacco leaves), CLE Prieto (full Maduro strength), CLE Selección Aniversario, CLE PCA Exclusive, etc.
Positioned as "the modern pinnacle of authentic Corojo," the CLE ranges in strength from medium to full. Its flavor is centered around the classic Corojo notes of sweet cedar, nuts, honey, cream, paprika, a hint of cinnamon, and cocoa. It's silky smooth, layered, and almost non-irritating on the palate, with impeccable burn and ash. The reason for choosing the CLE is clear: it's a non-Cuban cigar repeatedly rated 90+ or even 95+ by Cigar Aficionado as "the closest to the golden age of Cuba in the 1960s." For seasoned connoisseurs who yearn for the authentic Corojo flavor, seek pure Honduran power, yet reject harshness, the CLE is not just a cigar, but a most devout revival of the classic—every puff is a tribute to cigar tradition.
