Fratello Cigars, founded by former NASA analyst Omar de Frias, has always been known in the boutique non-Cuban cigar world for its unconventional blending approach. The Arlequín series was initially released as a test version in a limited edition concept set, but due to its extremely enthusiastic reception from connoisseurs, it was officially established as a premium regular production line under the brand.

The series is named after Arlecchino, a classic character in Italian commedia dell'arte, whose hallmark is a colorful diamond-patterned costume, hinting at the cigar's varied and vibrant flavor profile. Each cigar is meticulously hand-rolled in a historic, top-tier Nicaraguan factory, using carefully selected high-grade Mexican wrapper and a blend of aged tobaccos from multiple countries, aiming to provide a colorful, theatrical taste experience for aficionados seeking refined flavors.

Flavor Evolution in Three Acts

First Act: The cold draw offers fresh cedar and subtle herbal notes with a smooth draw. Upon lighting, the smoke is remarkably full and smooth, beginning with solid pine wood and a hint of white pepper. The retrohale is mild with very intense floral and licorice aromas, a clean finish, and a solid, regularly layered ash.

Second Act: As the burn progresses, the characteristics of the Mexican Maduro wrapper fully unfold. Classic bitter dark chocolate and rich coffee bean aromas intertwine, gradually revealing the clean earthy notes of Nicaraguan tobacco. With the addition of roasted nut oiliness, the texture becomes even rounder and silkier, leaving a lingering sweet aftertaste on the tongue.

Third Act: Cedar and delicate leather notes elegantly overlap, locking the bitter sweetness of chocolate and the rich aroma of coffee into the smoke. Thanks to excellent aging and rolling craftsmanship, there is no harshness even when burning close to the band, finishing smoothly with refined woody notes.
