Dunbarton Red Meat Lovers Spicy Beef Stick
Dunbarton Red Meat Lovers Spicy Beef Stick
Founded by Steve Saka, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is built on the credo of "cigars without compromise." Having spent many years deep in the industry, Saka is known for his distinct blending style, never shying away from bold and direct expressions. Red Meat Lovers was not originally a regular production item; it was a limited edition piece tailored specifically for a steak charity dinner at the invitation of the "Red Meat Lovers Club" in Florida.
While enjoying prime steak in Nicaragua, Saka repeatedly adjusted the blend with a clear goal: to create a cigar that could stand side-by-side with heavy, savory meats. Due to an enthusiastic response, it was later officially added to the regular production line. The Spicy Beef Stick is a new extension of the series, utilizing the unique 6×48 format of the Beef Stick (a flat cap with a closed foot), but featuring a spicier "Fritanga" blend—still based on a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés Negro binder, and Nicaraguan & Pennsylvania fillers, but with an increased proportion of Ligero, giving spices and pepper a stronger presence.
The Dunbarton Red Meat Lovers Spicy Beef Stick opens with earth and black pepper, gradually transitioning into an interplay of espresso, charred wood, and more prominent spices, carrying a hint of molasses sweetness and umami. It retains the solid framework created for steak, but turns the heat up a notch.

A Three-Act Flavor Profile
First Third: Cold draw hints at notes of earth and black pepper. Once lit, the smoke is full, with black pepper and earth appearing first, accompanied by a touch of cocoa and woody warmth—a direct, noticeably spicy start.
Second Third: The flavors gradually unfold. Espresso becomes more prominent, followed quietly by charred wood and baking spices, with hints of molasses sweetness and subtle umami. The mouthfeel is mellow with rich smoke, and the presence of spices steadily increases.
Final Third: The second half maintains excellent consistency. Black pepper and earth become even stronger, with a long finish defined by coffee and wood. The entire smoking experience is hotter and bolder than the original.
