Dunbarton Red Meat Lovers Porterhouse
Dunbarton Red Meat Lovers Porterhouse
Founded by Steve Saka, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is built on the creed of "cigars without compromise." With many years of deep industry experience, Saka’s blending style is distinctive, never shying away from bold and direct expressions. The Red Meat Lovers was not originally a regular production line; it began as a limited-edition project tailored for a charity steak dinner at the request of Florida's "Red Meat Lovers Club."
While enjoying top-tier steaks in Nicaragua, Saka repeatedly adjusted the blend with a clear goal: to create a cigar that could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with heavy, savory dishes. It ultimately features a US Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, paired with a Mexican San Andrés Negro binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania, all rolled at the NACSA factory in Estelí. Due to the overwhelming response, it was later officially added to the regular production line, with various vitolas named after steak cuts.
The Dunbarton Red Meat Lovers Porterhouse opens with notes of earth and dark chocolate, transitioning into an interplay of espresso, black pepper, and baking spices, carrying a hint of molasses sweetness and a distinct savory umami. The 6×60 size provides ample room for the flavors to unfold, making it purpose-built for the post-meal experience—a cigar truly worthy of a steak dinner.
