ADVentura La Llorona Corona
ADVentura La Llorona Corona
ADVentura was co-founded by Dominican blender Henderson Ventura and Swiss tobacco retailer Marcel Knobel. The brand is built upon a continuous nautical adventure storyline, where the fictional explorer ADVentura and his companion McKay encounter new characters and plot twists throughout the Age of Discovery.
"La Llorona" translates from Latin American folklore as the "Weeping Woman." Legend tells of a woman who, consumed by grief over the loss of her loved ones, became a wandering ghost near the water, her cries calling out to passing souls. ADVentura reimagines this tale: she is a vengeful spirit roaming the seas, hunting those who have plundered and harmed others, appearing without warning and showing no mercy. This character adds a deeper, more dramatic layer to the brand's adventurous narrative.
The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Dominican binder, and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers (including Medio Tiempo leaves), all rolled at the El Maestro factory in the Dominican Republic. The Corona size allows the flavors to unfold in a more concentrated fashion within its slender frame.
ADVentura La Llorona Corona opens with notes of cacao nibs and florals, transitioning into an interplay of maple syrup sweetness, wood, and earth. Rated 91 by halfwheel and named to their Top 25 of the year, it offers a sophisticated and persistent flavor profile that remains unique throughout its nearly ninety-minute smoking experience.

A Three-Act Flavor Profile
First Third: The cold draw offers notes of wood and a hint of sweetness. Upon lighting, the smoke is smooth, with cacao nibs and floral notes emerging first, accented by a warm touch of black pepper and toast; the opening is delicate and layered.
Second Third: The flavors expand. The cacao becomes more prominent as maple syrup sweetness and creamy oak follow quietly, with touches of earth and leather also detectable. The draw is smooth and the smoke is full, maintaining a balanced and lingering presence.
Final Third: The cigar maintains excellent stability in its final act. Wood and earth become more pronounced, leading to a long finish with a subtle, sweet, cocoa-inflected close. The entire experience is refined and evocative.
