Crowned Heads

Crowned Heads is one of the most acclaimed "rock bands" of the cigar world, founded in Nashville, USA in 2011 by former CAO executive Jon Huber and four partners. The brand refuses to build its own distilleries, instead collaborating deeply with the world's top brewers and distilleries: My Father (Nicaragua), Tabacalera La Alianza (Dominican Republic, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo), TABSA (Nicaragua), etc., ensuring that each blend is crafted by a master team. Crowned Heads' core philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: "We make cigars we want to smoke." Each cigar draws inspiration from music, literature, film, and whisky culture, with its ring label design reminiscent of retro posters and a dark aesthetic, completely overturning the traditional seriousness and rigidity of cigars.

Crowned Heads' main collections have distinct styles and can be divided into the following five categories:

  1. The flagship Four Kicks series: the first of its kind in 2011, blended by Don Pepín himself, with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, medium to high strength, with aromas of coffee beans, cedar, dark chocolate, and peppery sweetness, and has consistently ranked a classic 93-95 points for 10 years; the upgraded Four Kicks Capa Especial (Sumatra wrapper) with Maduro adds even more layers.
  2. Jericho Hills & Juicio Final:
    • Jericho Hills (First Dominican recipe of 2014, rolled by EP Carrillo, wrapped in Mexican San Andrés, full-strength bombardment)
    • Juicio Final (2023's new ace, limited edition, Nicaraguan and Dominican blend, Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, hailed as "Crowned Heads' strongest to date")
  3. Legendary Limited Edition Lines (Mil Días, Le Carême, Las Calaveras, Coalition):
    • Mil Días (First appearance in 2020, Ecuadorian Habanos jersey, multiple times 95-96 points)
    • Le Carême (a popular dessert-grade chocolate cake flavor)
    • Las Calaveras (Limited edition every year on Day of the Dead, stunning ring logo)
    • Coalition (a collaboration with a whisky brand, featuring a perfect blend of cedar and bourbon casks)
  4. Annual Limited Edition Series (Court Reserve XVIII, Panacea, Buckeye Land, Mother Church, Angel's Anvil, La Imperiosa): Only one design is produced each year, with extremely limited production. They are basically sold out as soon as they are released, making them highly collectible.
  5. Entry-level and experimental lines (Headley Grange, Tennessee Waltz, CHC Reserve XVIII): Affordable yet maintaining the consistently high standards of Crowned Heads.

Crowned Heads is positioned as "bold, distinctive, and anything but ordinary," ranging in strength from medium-high to full. Its flavor profile is dominated by rich coffee, dark chocolate, cedar, roasted nuts, peppery sweetness, and unique spices, offering a perfect burn and a clean finish. Choosing Crowned Heads is choosing a cigar with a story, attitude, and soul—it has topped the charts in Cigar Aficionado and Halfwheel with scores of 90-96 for 10 consecutive years, with almost every cigar rated a "must-buy of the year." For enthusiasts tired of generic mass-produced cigars and yearning to experience the brewer's personality with every puff, Crowned Heads is not just a cigar, but a VIP ticket to a cigar rock concert—light it, and you'll be the coolest one in the crowd.
